History
FERUS is a division of Treviño Leather Group, the largest tannery in Mexico with more than 80 years in the industry. We are a full-service, vertically integrated manufacturer of leather goods and accessories providing solutions in product design & development, raw material sourcing, manufacturing, production management and logistics. We have established ourselves as a leading Mexican brand operated by artisans with many years of experience in leather handling and whose work shows the perfect union between craftsmanship and creativity.
Our headquarters are located in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon - Mexico. This strategic geographic location, only 2 hours south of Laredo, Texas – USA, provides market proximity and makes us the ideal partners for product sales in the United States in conjunction with the benefits of the USMCA trade agreement.

FERUS is committed to work with suppliers that are taking steps to reduce their environmental footprint and preserve the planet and its natural resources as well as transparency and accountability throughout all of our supply chain. The objective is to improve traceability and progressively increase the use of raw materials coming from responsible and well-managed sources. Our priorities are therefore to contribute to the preservation of water and energy, respect animal welfare, eliminate the use of hazardous chemicals, and reduce air and water pollution.

Trevino’s AvoLeather ® is one of the most environmentally friendly materials available for leather applications. Starting with the hide, which is a by-product of the meat industry, through the crust tanning stage which uses a waste product from the avocado packing industry, through Trevino’s virtually fossil fuel free manufacturing, and self-contained water treatment facility, makes Trevino’s AvoLeather ® and excellent alternative sustainable material. Avocado seeds, skins and waste products from the avocado packing plants, provide the oils and tannins used to produce AvoLeather ®. Utilizing the seeds and skins, which typically end up in landfills, significantly reduces the environmental impact of their disposal thereby cleaning the environment. The leather is vegetable tanned with vegan extracts eliminating all chromium from the process thereby enhancing end-of-life disposal options. FERUS has exclusive usage of Trevino’s new AvoLeather ®.
